Hong Kong Disneyland
Follow Your Dreams
It’s been a dream turned reality to be cast in the brand-new show, “Follow Your Dreams,” at Hong Kong Disneyland! I’m incredibly proud to open this show after two months of hard work.
The rehearsal process has been intense! Rehearsing a show on the castle stage means working around the park’s opening hours. We’ve had days where we’ve started at 3am, days where we’ve started at 10pm, all to make sure the new show remains a surprise to our waiting guests. It has been rigorous and stressful thanks to Hong Kong’s continuous summer rain!
Having said all that, I truly feel like I’m growing as a performer. I’m learning so much from the directors, choreographers, and fellow cast mates. I first auditioned for HKDL in 2011- look at us now!
Mickey and Friend’s Christmas Time Ball
As we were celebrating the end of summer and the cooler weather, we dove straight into opening our holiday show, the Mickey and Friend’s Christmas Time Ball.
Disneyland is such a magical place to be during the holidays. The big tree at the end of Main Street, the ornaments, and the candy canes; all come together to welcome the festive season.
This was such a fun experience and a nice break from a few months of FYD!
Tree Lighting Ceremony
A beautiful way to close out another magical day at Disney, the tree lighting ceremony is so special. The show is only six minutes long, but I think it has the power to touch everyone’s heart.
