My first professional job! This was such an exciting time in my life. I couldn’t believe that I had booked something on TV— being on camera was out of my comfort zone. I had spent 21 years learning to be big and bold on stage, making large movements and expressing enough that the back of a theatre could hear and see me. Moving from stage to screen was a shock to my system.

I used to look back on this experience with embarassment. When it came out, I had critiqued myself, thinking what I could have done better, cringing at all the things I did “wrong.” But time and experience make things better and I look forward to another opportunity in front of the camera.
